Bourgondier is a producer of fine Belgian pates and terrines in Edmonton, Alberta. Started in 2018 on 124 street Grand Market, we bring Pâté to the People!
What is a bourgondier?
The word Bourgondier is traced back from the old families and dukes of Burgundy in the early medieval times. In Belgium, it stands for a person who generally enjoys life to its fullest. Someone who feasts on delicious foods without guilt, doesn't mind a drink, and shares these with the people surrounding them.
Although the original Burgundians were rich aristocrats, the current Belgian Bourgondier enjoys that rich food in a simple, no fuss manner. All the fantastic food of the French, without any of the stuffiness.
Pâté for the People
Bourgondier Pates in Edmonton offers unique pates steeped in Belgian history, dating back to a time farmers were forced to use every part of the animal to survive, and make it delicious too.
In true Bourgondier tradition, we strive to create a rich and complex product, that is at the same time simple and approachable. Delicious but not pretentious. Something that will make pate-skeptics think twice.
